Back to School...For Me???

Well, yes... I am going back to school...I think.
Its actually a pretty interesting experience emotionally for me. I was an A student in school and a B student in the year and a half I went to college. Then I got married and home schooled my 6 children - 4 have gone to college, the 5th is enrolled this year for Massage Therapy Certification; 2 went to university; and my youngest (15yrs old) will be entering the public High School this fall as a Junior; AND YET, I am really insecure as to whether or not I can 'cut the mustard' as they say.
Over the years, I feel I've lost some of my mental power, in different ways, so I'm not sure how I will do. I am pretty sure I can do an English course online, so that's where I will begin. If I can handle that, then I will proceed with caution :)
My ultimate goals? I really don't know... I am at a place in my life where I feel like I'm on the threshold of a huge expanse and not sure exactly where to put my next step. For now, I am just going to do what I can do; invest in my education (my dad said its never a waste to do so) and keep seeking what it is I am to do with the rest of my life.
That's it in a nutshell - On August 10th, I take a placement test. I'm not worried about it, but I can't help but wonder what my entry level will be!

You're a lot smarter than you think! Remember how savvy you were on a computer 3 years ago? Now you have your own laptop that you've become well versed in! You use iTunes with an iPod, an iPod Touch and an iPhone! You use Photoshop on your laptop! You use a digital camera!

English will be so sweat for you! If you get scared, remind yourself of the truth! He is strongest and most evident in your weaknesses! You can do all things in Christ who strengthens you! Don't forget: I'm doing what I cannot do everyday! I am lousy at customer service, I live in BRANSON (only you know what all that entails for me) and I am in relationship (on a parenting level) with George again. I cannot do any of what I am doing...

Thank you, Rebekah :) I have found it amazing how much we find out we can do even when we are sure we can't. Yes, I don't want to forget His strength and grace at times like these. Bless you!

You have accomplished the most difficult part -- taking the first step in return to higher education. Your life experiences will serve you well in school.

You home schooled all six children? Girl, you already HAVE that degree! Seriously, you are underestimating yourself and your abilities. I am in awe Diane. I'd never BEGIN to try to do that! You can pretty much do whatever you want to at this point. You have more education in your little finger.... You go girl! :c)

If I can do it, I know you can. I got my first college course about 8 years after high school. Worked full time and did them one at a time. Finally got my BS degree about 10 years later and then completed a 2 years Masters in one year a year later. Maturity and the desire more then makes up for time away from formal schooling.

Ivars, I just found your comment hadn't been posted! My apologies! Yes, that first step is a difficult one, indeed! Thank you :)

In my neck of the woods, it's 3:45 a.m. Aug. !0th. You will be taking that test today. Regardless of that assessment, you have scored high marks in my book.
Only God could have taken me to your blog today for just what I needed - hope, encouragement and a peek into the life of another woman just like me - two grown kids; last one a senior in high school, and me seeking what it is I am to do with the rest of my life.

Thanks for being there in the middle of the night - so like PAPA. In fact, when I first awakened, I asked Him to hold me - you were His arms.
