The End of the Rainbow

We've had a lot of rain -

last week, weekend, and looks like all this next week. 

Last evening, just before sunset, 

the clouds, still pouring rain on us, pulled away from the horizon

 and  the most glorious rainbow stretched across the road, 

practically in my backyard!
